Dr. Melissa has had a long rewarding career in veterinary medicine. She surrounds herself with an amazingly talented and compassionate staff.Her strong points involve listening to the client. They are the direct line to the patient. Much information is collected from this strong bond.
She finds enormous satisfaction in working up the routine surgical and medical cases, but loves to be challenged by second opinions and more difficult cases.
Dr. Melissa has very little free time, but when she does, she likes to hang out with her loving husband and two grown sons. She cannot wait for grandchildren- until then she is blessed with a grand dog and grand cat.
Dr. Sara Sholts grew up in Madison, WI and is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 2007. Dr. Sholts worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician and Animal Medical Services Supervisor for a well-known animal shelter, Dane County Humane Society, before receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Since she was young, Dr. Sholts has ridden, trained, shown, and even judged horses of all breeds and disciplines. Her professional veterinary interests include both small animal general medicine and surgery, and equine medicine.
Dr. Sholts lives with her husband, Peter, and their 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 horses. When not working, she can be found trail riding her horses, hiking in the outdoors with her dogs, reading a good book, or knitting.
Dr. Ken graduated from Kansas State University of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He worked at several small animal clinics in Madison and Dane County before accepting a position as the Chief Staff Veterinarian at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) in Waukesha, where he has been for the past 16 years. He joined the staff at the Noble Hound to utilize his surgery and medical expertise in a private clinic setting, in addition to remaining part-time at HAWS.
Ken has one daughter, Anya, who is attends Macalester College in St. Paul Minnesota, and his wife, Natalie, is a professor at UW-Madison in their Master of Science in Biotechnology Program. He and his family currently have three dogs named Annabelle, Kaspar, and Atticus, and two Love Birds named Ifa and Kinda.
Ken loves spending time with his family, and in his free time can be found walking the dogs in their east side Madison neighborhood, riding his bike, swimming, playing volleyball, doing yoga, or cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Wisconsin Badgers, or Green Bay Packers. His favorite is watching the UW Women’s Volleyball team.
Patty has worked at Noble Hound for over 10 years.
She is the “Heart” of the clinic and we would be lost without her!
In her spare time, Patti loves to garden, drink coffee and rescue older dogs that need a home.
Bobbi Jo has been a part of the Noble Hound team for several years now. She started as a receptionist and is now the Practice Manager. One of her dogs, Daryl, comes to work with her every day… He helps hold the fort down!
When she is not working, Bobbi Jo enjoys spending time with her family over a good cup of coffee. She lives in Baraboo with her husband, 4 children and fur babies.
The best part about working at Noble Hound is being able to help the ones that have no voice! She is also known as the Wiener Dog Whisperer!
Theresa has been with Noble Hound for several years now.She has over 25 years of professional grooming experience.
Her two loyal dogs, Nash and Duke, are both amazing rescues.
She has raised Morgan horses for 12 years and currently has 5 horses on her farm and a flock of chickens.
And of course her greatest accomplishment is her 20 year old son, Gunnar.
Betsy has the honor of taking care of your family member while boarding with us.She will go with your pet outside every 2 hours to play and watch people and cars go by. Your family member will get lots of body massages if desired.
She is here to comfort them and make sure they feel safe and secure.

She has a warm sense of humor and brings her lower stress handling techniques with her. Pets feel very comfortable with her “less is more “ technique.
Her hobbies include spending time with her beautiful god-daughter and her collection of cats.
We would like to say she is one cat away from being a crazy cat lady.
Keenan is a long time staff member who works all areas at Noble Hound.He has loved working with animals as long as he can remember and truly enjoys helping them.
He has a dog named Nemo. He was rescued 4 years ago when he was shot as a puppy and lost his front leg. He is the greatest dog anyone could ever ask for.
Keenan loves the small tight knit group that we have here at Noble Hound.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Jacob has worked at Noble Hound for 3 years.
He works all areas so you never know where you will see him.
He grew up in this area and has lived here ever since.
Jacob has a beautiful one year old daughter named Mari.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys working on vehicles and spending time with his family and friends.
Terra has been a part of the Noble Hound team for a little over a year now. She is married to her husband Alex and lives in the Baraboo area.
She has 3 fur babies at home. Norma Jean a tortoise cat, Mugsy a gray tabby cat and Marshmallow a linx point cat.
She loves to paint and read a good book.
Ivy joined Noble Hound a little over a year ago. She is one of the first faces you will see when you come here as she works reception.
She in engaged to her fiancé Nick and lives in the Baraboo area.
She has a pug named Penelope and two ferrets named Oscar and Cleo.
Ivy likes to do anything that involves spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to do a little shopping on the side!
Kristen works in the boarding area at Noble Hound. She has a deep passion for all types of animals. She has 4 cats named Hunter, Madison, Oliver and Willow. In her spare time she enjoys hiking at Devils Lake. Someday, Kristen would like to become either a Dairy Veterinarian or a Herd Nutritionist, but for now attends Baraboo High School.
